Emilia-Romagna Region has long embraced policies for the protection and valorisation of the territory, safeguarding plants, animals and products whose history and identity make them an integral part of our collective culture, and which without appropriate preservation interventions would in all likelihood risk extinction. Emilia-Romagna is home to 17 Slow Food Presidia and regional institutions support producers in their invaluable daily quest to protect these precious food products which convey flavours and stories, weaving a narrative of taste with that of a remarkable territory, custodian of a landscape of outstanding natural beauty.

A rich heritage of unparalleled quality, preserved by those who strive on a daily basis to restore food’s true value, respecting those who produce healthy, fair food and the ecosystem which enables us to enjoy the fruits of the earth: a harmony that institutions must defend and promote unfailingly.
