Cascina Italia is situated in Ceresole d’Alba (in the province of Cuneo), which lies on a wide red clay plateau, known as le Terre Rosse, characterized by many ponds, called peschiere in italian.
These ponds have always been breeding stations for the tench fishes which here stand out for the golden colour of their skin.
In the 1950s many ponds were abandoned, but in in the 1994 Giacomo Mosso decided to restart and boost the tench breeding in the ponds of Cascina Italia, where now, beside the breeding station, we have started our own processing workshop.
Fishing, transforming, eating: this is our motto.
