Mafalda is the oldest producer of lard in Colonnata, established back in 1930, when lard was just a poor man’s food that the miners ate with their bread.

You should always identify the manufacturer, because each manufacturer has his own personal use and amount of ingredients for processing and drying of the product. Ours is made up of indispensable rules that have been consolidated for four generations. In 2003 Mafalda obtained the IGP certification and the EEC stamp which certify the quality of the raw materials, the particularity of the workmanship and the originality of the product.
