The constant development of olive groves and modern oil mill is the reference of absolute value and reliability in the territory of Bolsena. First Bruno, and then his sons Andrea (sales and marketing consultant, professional taster) and Stefano (agronomic consultant and crushing technician) have been able to give the Battaglini brand a national and international value of excellence, while maintaining the characteristics of craftsmanship production, linked to their land.

Lake Bolsena is one of the most evocative and historically relevant places in Lazio, but its positive influence in the cultivation of olive trees is fundamental, thanks to lava soils rich in mineral components and a rare microclimate, particularly mild and congenial. In this natural environment, the plants of the Battaglini family, about 12 hectares of property with historical olive groves, are carefully managed.

The cultivars cultivated here are the most indigenous and widespread in the territory, such as Caninese, Leccino, Moraiolo, Frantoio and other ancient minor varieties.

In 2015 began an active collaboration with the sisters Patrizia and Claudia Sensi. The Sensi Company’s plants are both centuries old. and the other .

The first implantation – in the territory of the municipality of Tuscania – is of Caninese cultivars and dates back to the 18th century, when it was commissioned by Cardinal Ercole Consalvi, Vatican Secretary of State who owned the land at the time; the second planting – in the territory of Grotte Santo Stefano, a hamlet of the municipality of Viterbo – consisting of Crusher and Caninese cultivars in equal number, is about 120 years old and was carried out by the ancestors of the Sensi family.
