Corvée is a French term used in feudal society to indicate a type of work performance (from vassal to his lord) through free days, usually intended for the cultivation of manor lands.

The more than 700 km of terraces of dry-stone porphyry walls, built over the centuries by the vassals of the Cembra valley, have saved a unique landscape, now a World Heritage Site, which leads from 250 meters high in the municipality of Giovo to about 1000 meters in Faver.

The Corvée winery is dedicated to this composed effort, which pays tribute to these anonymous winemakers by placing the cast of the palms of their hands on the labels of its wines. In this territory, an entire community has always pursued its own utopia: unbeatable wines, imbued with flavors and aromas, looks and gestures that have always accompanied the flow of time in a beautiful and grumpy region.

The Corvée winery, nestled in the porphyry grounds of the municipality of Cembra Lisignago, at about 700 meters above sea level, is protected to the east by the celebrated resonance fir forests of Paneveggio; to the south it touches the horizon of the “Trentino Red Gold” quarries – the porphyry – source of work and fortune of the entire valley, and to the west it finally caresses the imposing massif of the Brenta Dolomites. All the terraces of the valley are warmed by the brightest sun of the south and every day, towards sunset, crossed by the gentle breeze of the Ora del Garda.

The vineyards are located in the municipalities of Cembra Lisignago and Faver Altavalle, at an altitude between 450 and 750 meters above sea level and produce the main native Trentino grape varieties: Müller Thurgau, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Nero, Lagrein, Sauvignon blanc, Gewürztraminer.
At night, the slow release of the heat absorbed by the porphyry, preserves intact the aromatic heritage of the grapes, which the “particle” harvesting of the bunches ends up exalting.
