This workshop aims to make representatives of the local institutions from agricultural, tourism and culture sectors and youth groups work together in order to identify better possibilities for the promotion and valorization of the regional food heritage.
The objective of the workshop is to “provoke” more proposals and action from the local level and, especially, to involve more creative youth groups. After some presentations on Eastern Hercegovina food heritage, Slow Food Ark of Taste catalogue, GIs and UNESCO intangible heritage, three working groups will be created to discuss about:
- Old neglected products and dishes (new Ark of Taste catalogue nominations).
- Tourism valorization of food heritage (different online platforms, rural tourism).
- Promotion of traditional food through culture and art (youth and creative initiatives).
Proposals from the working groups will be compiled with other workshops reports and presented as the result of the project, defining the next steps aiming to draw bigger attention of the public and relevant institutions on this important part of the regional culture.
