A guided walk on foot and outdoors to discover the honeys produced in Mirafiori and the world of urban bees, led by Wanda Camusso of Associazione Parco del Nobile. Two hours in the open air to experience and learn about the biodiversity of plants and pollinators in the city, but above all to discover the culture of honey and the tradition of beekeeping in Mirafiori.
PROGRAMME:
3 p.m. – meeting at Orto WOW (via Onorato Vigliani 102) Introduction to the theme of bees in the city, honey production in the Mirafiori area. Start of the walk through the Colonnetti Park, after having left “a message” to the pollinating insects in the boxes that host the cultivations.
4pm – Cooperativa I Passi (Strada Castello di Mirafiori 142/8) > the bees and the community – honey tasting.
4.30 p.m. departure for Orti Generali (Strada Castello di Mirafiori 38/15) > the beekeeper’s profession – how did the apiary of Orti Generali start? Direct testimony of those who take care of it.
