The Bela Rosin Mausoleum blooms again on Valentine’s Day
15 writers, 15 new roses, a new chocolate for Mirafior. 15 new rose plants in the reading garden of the Mausoleum, selected by Anna Peyron, nurserywoman, author of the book “Il romanzo della rosa” (add editore) and patroness of the event, will be matched with 15 female writers, chosen by the social community of Biblioteche civiche civiche torinesi: Alda Merini (the most voted), Elsa Morante, Natalia Ginzburg, Oriana Fallaci, Grazia Deledda, among others. The new rose garden will be planted thanks to the support of the European project proGIreg with the collaboration of the I Passi Community and the City of Turin. The most fascinating words of the 15 writers will be found in the chocolate created for the occasion by Giuseppe D’Arrigo of Pasticceria D’Arrigo, Corso Traiano 22/B, one of the four pastry shops in the neighbourhood that produce the Mirafiori cake, the Tronchetto di Caterina. The rose-scented chocolate will be given away with the books lent from 8 to 13 February to the Biblioteca civica Cesare Pavese, the Mausoleo della Bela Rosin and the BiblioBus, thanks to the support of the Mirafiori Foundation.
An initiative organised by the Biblioteche Civiche Torinesi in collaboration with Mirafood – Slow Food Community for the enhancement of the Mirafiori Sud area, with the support of proGIreg and the Mirafiori Community Foundation.
