The Terra Madre Indonesia journey through taste, nature and culture is a series of webinars to share information on the endangered heritage foods of Indonesia.
Compared to their great potential, relatively few Indonesian products have been documented and registered in the Ark of Taste catalogue so far. Therefore, this series will be a gathering and celebration of the diversity of the Ark of Taste products over the six-month period of Terra Madre 2020. A series of monthly appointments to raise awareness amongst the general public and consumers about culture and traditional foods from various Indonesian regions and good, clean and fair food systems characterized by a rich agrobiodiversity. Each appointment will focus on a different food category, having in mind three goals: identify new Indonesian products to be added to the Ark of Taste catalogue, document Indonesian agrobiodiversity, meet with the communities who are keeping these food varieties and traditions alive.
