Valdibella is the first project supported by the Slow Food Resilience Fund, the initiative launched to support collective projects with which businesses, individuals and stakeholders are committed to achieving change in local food systems, adopting more sustainable and inclusive practices.
Valdibella’s project has a strong agroecological footprint and combines protection of biodiversity with social and economic benefits. The result of the collaboration between two solid cooperatives in Partinico (Pa), it was selected by Slow Food among the dozens of projects received in response to the first application phase, which ended at the end of July. A second application phase will begin in January 2021.
To support these projects, Slow Food has launched the Fund in support of Communities for Change aimed at institutions, foundations and private companies. Among the first enthusiastic funders is FPT Industrial of the CNH group, which besides believing in the Valdibella NoE project supports the initiative of the Slow Food Presidium of the Prud’homie, which we will learn more about on December 14.
You can get to know Valdibella NoE and the Slow Food Resilience Fund project on this platform, thanks to a video made between the fields of Partinico and the headquarters of FPT Industrial.
