A child’s diet is a determining factor in its health, starting even before it’s born, through its first years, months and years of life.

Parents must make an effort to build as varied a diet as possible, paying close attention to food quality and provenance: that means no fruits and vegetables grown using pesticides, no meat from industrial farms, no fish from industrial fishing, no refined sugars or other ultra-processed foods. A child’s diet must contain, like an adult’s, a great variety that can contribute to the development of healthy microbiome.
