Discover the 4 pastry shops of the Dolce di Mirafiori in one day!
Mirafiori is the only district in Turin to have a typical cake, the Tronchetto di Caterina. “Dolcissima Mirafiori” proposes a free tour to discover the neighbourhood and its sweet, with a pleasant social activity. Caterina’s Tronchetto is a family dessert, created by Benedetta Lanza together with her 11-year-old daughter Frida, with Mela Grigia di Torriana, a Slow Food Presidium among the ancient Piedmontese apple varieties, with cinnamon, chocolate and ginger, linked to a legend from Catherine of Hapsburg’s private life. From 23 to 27 February, taste Il Tronchetto di Caterina in each of the four bakeries, discover the neighbourhood and follow the instructions for the Instagram contest: you could win a shopping voucher. Here are the pastry shops that, for the first time, have collaborated to create a unique recipe for the dessert that won the competition and in which you can find the interpretation of each master pastry chef:
-Pastry shop Dell’Agnese – Corso Unione Sovietica, 417
-Pastry shop D’Arrigo – Corso Traiano, 22/B
-Pastry shop Da Tony e Maria – Via Celeste Negarville, 25H
-Pasticceria Venere – Strada Comunale di Mirafiori, 42/D
Il Dolce di Mirafiori is a Mirafood initiative promoted by the COM.PRO project in Mirafiori, with the support of the Fondazione della Comunità di Mirafiori ONLUS and the accompaniment of Kallipolis.
