Cannero Riviera is a special microclimatic niche in the far north of Italy, where oranges, citrons and lemons were cultivated in the open as early as the 16th century.
Here, today, a new and interesting cultural and cultivation biodiversity is growing. It is important to be able to publicise this biodiversity on the Internet at a time when the annual festival of gardens open to the public is due to take place. Riccardo Milan will show us how versatile citrus fruits are and how they can interact with other local products. Thanks to Michelin-starred chef Massimiliano Celeste we will learn a delicious recipe between the lake and the garden. Stefano Romano will lead us on a discovery of a hotel where the vegetable garden and citrus fruits are … centimetre zero!
Event organised by the municipality of CANNERO RIVIERA and the SLOW FOOD CONDUCT LAGO MAGGIORE E VERBANO.
