KIITOS GARDEN has become a donor of the 10,000 Gardens Project in Africa and, specifically, of gardens in Rwanda.
The Slow Food Gardens Project aims to create thousend good, clean and fair food gardens in African schools and communities, to raise awareness among young generations about the importance of food biodiversity and access to healthy and fresh food. Thanks to this project, a network of new leaders will also become aware of the value of their land and their culture, while serving as protagonists for change and their continent’s future.
This event will also provide the occasion for the presentation of a meeting point between Rwanda and the Gifu region, where KIITOS GARDEN is located. A meeting point that will be represented by finger millet, a cereal with a long history in both areas. The Ambassador of Rwanda in Japan will also join the event, as a sign of the friendship between the two countries and the gratitude for the support.
