Europe needs a fair, healthy, eco-friendly food system. The bulk of civil society and the youth of Europe demand it, and before Covid hit they took to the streets in great numbers, and often, to reaffirm their right to a better future, a habitable climate and social justice.

Europe, for its part, has listened to these demands and has responded to them with the Farm to Fork strategy, part of the European Green Deal, a tool to guide a transition towards a different food system, one that’s more sustainable at every link of the food chain, from production to distribution and consumption.

We analyze the path ahead together, touching on some of its fundamental aspects like the promotion of agroecology, sustainable diets and the need to eat less meat, and of higher quality.
